There are also practice sets that help you figure out how to become organized when it comes to what style you use. The video vs text format allows you to revisit the content that was covered during the video, allowing you to recap what was just covered. I highly recommend this to anyone who is new, starting out, or even already in the editing and writing industry. So glad I took this course!

This was awesome! I felt like the instructors gave thorough explanations of, quite literally, the nuts and bolts of editing. This would be amazing for someone who wants to learn the basics of mechanics, grammar, and more. There are activities throughout that helped me feel confident that I understood the material along the way! 10/10 recommend!

This course is extremely informative - it covers topics I have never even thought of regarding branding and networking. Connecting with customers in the most effective way sounds easy on the surface, but not so easy when you try to plan the steps. It even covers how to connect with and grow your customer base, and also how to perfect the image you put out to customers. If that wasn't enough already, they also cover how to manage taxes (something freelancers definitely dread, ha), how to calculate quotes and write up contracts, different editing platforms to join, and even different payment alternatives. So much helpful information - if you're just starting out or want to optimize your current situation, take this course!

I am so impressed with this course! They cover absolutely everything you need to know about editing - the use of symbols, nouns and pronouns (pronouns are especially important now), how to arrange sentences so that they flow well, how to use inclusive language, and much more. I also love the practice guides they provide and the answer keys as well. This way you can really hone in your editing skills on your own time =) In addition, they offer a very comprehensive review of Google Docs, MS Word, and Adobe which I found super helpful. Amazing course, I highly recommend!

I went into this project thinking that I would know most of it. I was wrong. It just proves that no matter how much you think you know, there is always more you can learn! This was a great refresher and eye opener to anyone who is familiar or learning to edit.
